Dotz Terms of Use

The short version
Dotz is free to play for fun. Don't hack it, copy it or sell it. It shows ads. It's provided as it is, and we're not liable if something goes wrong beyond what the law requires. If you have a problem, tell us.
1. Who these terms are with
Dotz is made by MoldyWit ("we", "us"). These terms are an agreement between you and us about using Dotz on any device. By installing or playing Dotz you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use Dotz.
If you got Dotz from Apple's App Store, Apple's Standard End User License Agreement is your licence to the app, and these terms add to it. Where the two conflict, Apple's agreement wins. Apple is not a party to these terms and has no responsibility for Dotz or for supporting it.
2. Your licence
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and play Dotz on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use. We keep all rights we don't expressly give you. Dotz, its name, art, sounds, code and patterns belong to us or our licensors.
3. What you may not do
- Copy, sell, rent, sublicense or redistribute Dotz or any part of it.
- Reverse engineer, decompile or modify Dotz, except where the law expressly allows it.
- Cheat, use bots or tools to play for you, or tamper with scores, data or ads.
- Click ads you aren't interested in, or interfere with how ads are shown or counted.
- Use Dotz in a way that breaks the law or harms Dotz, other players or us.
4. Ads
Dotz is free because it shows ads from Google AdMob, including optional video ads you can watch to keep playing. Ads come from third parties; we don't control their content and aren't responsible for products or sites they lead to. How Google handles data is described in our privacy policy.
5. In-app purchases
Dotz may offer purchases, such as removing ads. Purchases are handled by the store you got Dotz from, under its terms, and refunds go through that store. A purchase gives you a licence to the feature, not ownership, and it has no cash value. Use the store's restore option to get a purchase back on a new device.
6. Your data
Our privacy policy explains what Dotz collects, only if you agree to it, and how to switch it off and have it deleted.
7. Updates and changes
We may update Dotz, change or remove features, or stop offering it. We may also change these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version, and if you keep playing after a change, the new terms apply. We'll mention important changes in the game or on this page.
8. Ending the licence
You can stop at any time by deleting Dotz. Your licence ends automatically if you break these terms. When it ends, you must stop using Dotz and delete it. Sections 2 (ownership), 9, 10 and 11 still apply after it ends.
9. No warranty
Dotz is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, as far as the law allows. We don't promise Dotz will be uninterrupted, error-free or always available. Dotz is a game for entertainment; it is not a medical, health or brain-training product and makes no health claims.
10. Limit of liability
As far as the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost data, scores or progress, arising from Dotz. Our total liability for any claim about Dotz is limited to what you paid us for Dotz in the 12 months before the claim, or US$10 if you paid nothing. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you; nothing here limits rights you have by law that can't be limited.
11. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, unless the law where you live gives you the right to have its law apply. Please contact us first so we can try to sort things out. If you're a consumer in the EU or UK, you can also use the courts where you live.
12. Export
You confirm you're not located in a country under a US government embargo, and you're not on any US government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
13. Everything else
If part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce a term right away, we haven't given it up. You may not transfer these terms; we may transfer them to whoever takes over Dotz. These terms and the privacy policy are the whole agreement about Dotz.
